About Me

Hi there and welcome! I'm a San Francisco photographer armed with a Nikon and a case of wanderlust. When I lost my job, I decided to embark on a journey, both literally and reflectively, to capture what people treasure most in life. Read more about my story here...

The Story Isn't Over

It's been over a year since I took that first step, moved out of my comfort zone and began an adventure I'll never forget. There were good moments, bad moments and life-moving, shaking-in-my shoes moments over the course of five months, 17 countries, 25,000 photos.

Somewhere in the middle of India I got sidetracked from the blog, diverted from my life and in the process learned a lot about who I am and my place in the world. Riding for twelve hours in a car across the bumpy desert roads of Rajasthan can do that do you.

Just because the moment has passed and the trip is over doesn't mean the story doesn't go on. I'm determined to keep the story alive, the photos alive, the feeling of being alive alive. As my heart grasps to remember memories from that magical time, I'll continue to share photos and stories from the road. And I cling to the heartfelt hope I'll have the chance to do it all again someday, bumpy roads and all...

With Love,

Carrie (and Bubba-Lou, below)
